I can't help but gush about my husband and the handwork he puts in everyday... Here's a little comeback blog about how proud I am of him and his business that continues to grow day by day. Check it out and give it some love.
Since Elite Custom Fitness' start four years ago, the gym has grown from 8 or so clients to about 40 (and growing). Tim has put his heart and soul into the gym and making it a bad ass place for people to not only train hard, but build a strong bond within the ECF community. We are excited to announce that there will be some huge changes to the gym that will allow for clients to have more equipment at their fingertips, more space, and more flexibility in the type of support they receive from our trainers!
You've heard it time and time again... There are people that "train", and people that "work out". Josh explains the difference between the two. It's not necessarily in the actual definitions, but rather the mentality that comes with them.
Check out our Chest Training Day today. We kept the weight relatively light (60% of our 1RM) but kept the volume high.
Get to know a little more about Jess, a trainer at Elite Custom Fitness, and what brought her to where she is today. She is a full time teacher who shares a passion for training similar to Tim and Josh. She is always looking to improve her ability in the gym and share her enthusiasm with anyone she works with.
There is more to lifting than simply going through the motions... the confidence behind the training is what makes a great lifter. Through experiences in sports and in the gym, Tim has built confidence in his ability to train and also train others, and in this blog post he shows us how important confidence can be in building long-lasting strength and power.
Training at the gym is more than just throwing some exercises together and expecting to get the most out of it. There is a method behind determining the most effective way to optimize your training routine. In this article, Josh discusses the 8 steps to create a proper training session. This information will not only help you to make the most of your training, but will also teach you the fundamentals to outline training for any muscle group.
See how Josh discusses the benefit of a growth vs. fixed mindset when it comes to weight training and making progress in your overall strength, ability, and much more.
Josh utilizes a very systematic approach to his training and his nutrition. For those of you out there looking to know more about IIFYM, Josh lives and breathes it! Josh also goes into some detail on how he is adjusting his training physically and mentally to make gains. Check it out!
Similar to his training philosophy, Tim is very focused on developing a deep understanding of the basics in order to show true growth in strength and ability in the gym. In his articles, he wants to provide the ECF Community and any reader the same when they read about his philosophies and his knowledge on training. He wants you to get the most out of what you are reading, so why not start with the basics. Here, Tim discusses the three essential muscular actions that go into training and basic movement. Any individual who trains at the gym would benefit from an understanding of these actions and how they do into developing a strong training program!
